Inserting Records

Hi,

I currently have a hosted domain and use Php with Mysql. I am researching if oscommerce will work for us. Once oscommerce is installed, will I be able to update the oscommerce database tables using my own code from my own php and html forms?

 

I need to be able to insert records and update Customer and Product Table records in the shop from customer input that comes from our existing web site. I do not know the oscommerce structure so apologies for not knowing the table names yet.

 

Do you have a link for any documentation downloads?
