ssl_error_renegotiation_not_allowed issues with osc 2.2 version

Hi, I trying to reinstall my shopping cart to another new server, and it comes out with the ssl_error_renegotiation_not_allowed error with firefox 4 when I trying run the same shopping cart under the new server. However, both servers with same configurations and run with php 5.2.13. The old server runs fine but the new server give shows me the error.

at the beginning, I assuming it is my ssl installation problem. I delete my domain ssl, and using the one come with the server. Firefox 4 load the page, but showing that the ssl is invalid, but it let me pass ssl page after I confirm and install the certificate. After that, I reinstall my domain ssl, and upload another fresh 2.2CR2 to the server, and everything runs fine. OSC allow me to pass the ssl page, and everything works fine. But when I re-upload my old cart in there, firefox 4 give me the error again.

I am very confused now, I am not sure which part I need to fix, is the server issues or my shopping cart. Does anyone run in this kind of issues as I did?

thank you.

ken

The only part the osC code plays in SSL is making sure the url starts with HTTPS

The rest is up to the server.

It's up to the server to make the SSL happen, or at least try.

Deficient code can cause "non secure" items on the page, but the server is still required to attempt to make the page SSL.

I'm with Kim - it's a server problem or a problem with the SSL cert. or it's installation not a code problem with the store.

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

You talked about using the server SSL and then your own SSL.

If it works with the server SSL certificate and not with yours then it is your specific certificate. It is either not installed properly or there is a problem with it.

You need to speak to your hosting.
