familyads Posted June 8, 2011 Author Share Posted June 8, 2011 OK im not asking if its here im asking for information from anyone who might know about it so i dont understand why everyone keeps on responding if they dont know about it and i thought this is what forums were about getting and giving help and information so please read the original post. at no time do i ask if its here i ask "if it still exist" and about other osCommerce info if ur not aware what WP osC stands for it is short for "Word Press osCommerce" which would lead one to assume that WP osC would MAYBE in some way be related to osCommerce. So in short if you wish to use "original" oscommerce which can be downloaded from here>> Then first read the documentation/knowledge-base here>> And if you still have more questions, then search in the forum and if you still can not find any answers then post questions for others to help you in the forum. WP OSC is an "offshoot" based on oscommerce, and as other such loaded/pre-modified/offshoot "versions" its not supported or widely used among the members of this forum.... So if you wish to use WP OSC then use Google and find web resources, help, faqs and/or forums which are for WP OSC users. familyads Posted June 8, 2011 Author Share Posted June 8, 2011 OK I abandoned WP osC and tried to use osCommerce and i get this error can someone please help me fix it Unable to upload oscommerce-2.3.1.zip to /oscommerce-2.3.1.zip: filemng failed: cp: cannot create regular file `/var/www/vhosts/mywebsite.com/oscommerce-2.3.1.zip': Permission denied filemng: Error occured during /bin/cp command. any help would be appreciated (I switched to the original ) Thank You Jim Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

familyads Posted June 8, 2011 Author Share Posted June 8, 2011 I read the instructions but dont understand where or how to place the code they give. i pasted both code lines cp -R catalog /path/to/public/html/directory/ & chmod -R 777 /path/to/public/html/directory/catalog/file on separate notepad sheets and loaded them into "httpdocs" was able to upload the zipfile for osCommerce, BUT now file is compressed with no option to extract. tried smartftp and that didnt work ether can some xplain in plane English how to up load i watched youtube and i understand it ,but thats not working.Im ready to...........!!!!! When that is done you simply go to the url and follow a very easy online install procedure... Im using Parallels hosting this hosting is provided by Wealthy affiliates could this be the issue IF anyone Knows anything about Parallels hosting please help me I realy want to use osCommerce.
