jenodorf
Hi In the past I have used cartweaver and the web assist products to power stores . I wanted to use Oscommerce on a fasthosts server their instructions are to use the ssl folder option for which they of course charge. In the past I've not used ssl as paypal handle the payment side. Is my logic wrong? or must I use SSL thanks Ian
FIMBLE
If your customer is going to pass over sensitive information then you have a duty to protect this, if you are in the UK its the law (Data protection act) http://www.businesslink.gov.uk/bdotg/action/detail?itemId=1073792159&type=RESOURCES Also many customers will not pass over this info without seeing the padlock. So i would say it is essential to have SSL even if you do use PayPal Nic Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions
