Check Password Validation Against OsCommerce

In my current project, I am integrating another web application with the oscommerce shopping cart and the oscommerce shopping cart users can be able to login to my system using oscommerce credentials. I got stuck in the user login system. I need to know a way to check user entered password in my application against the oscommerce users's password check function for login. They're using a combination of MD5 and Salt for generating the password. Does anyone know how can I call or use that function in my web application. Its a separate application and only the database has taken from the oscommerce. So, the password mechanism is needed to check the user's password in my app. If anyone know the logic for the password check, please help me
