Adyx
Quite weird this... Everything is working fine on a store ive set up.. lots of orders, all coming through fine... except for one.. which seems to have found a way around entering credit card details :? It's a real order and a real customer, but for some bizarre reason they managed to place an order and the card details did not get added to the database.. so their order detail, is minus any cc info. Not just the info, but the whole cc info section, apparently.. i.e) no-- CARD NUMBER = <blank space> etc.. etc.. It just drops straight into what they wanted to purchase. I cant replicate what they did, so i am wondering what it could be that caused the problem.. i thought maybe some kind of session error just at the point of clicking 'confirm order', or maybe they put some rogue character into the card details, that the DB spat out... but still processed the rest of it ? Maybe some over protective settings on their browser / firewall ? Or Mr. 8) Blackhat, catching incomming !? That's unlikely though i think.. :?: anyone had this happen on their store ? I suspect it's something quite simple...
Adyx
:? This has happened again... The card was valid and when the store owner re-tried the details the card went through to the DB fine. Apparently the customer, did not have any errors appear, and was asked for their card details, as far as they were concerned the system worked perfectly for them. I am wondering if some old browsers are the cause of the problem ? Or maybe some 'cookie' related issue ? any ideas ?
Synjen
This is happening on my store as well. Has anyone else encountered this issue, and perhaps found the problem?

GaryM
This is a little bothersome as I contemplate going live sometime in the next month. Maybe those who have been having the problems can list what kind of modifications they've made to their checkout process. Perhaps there is a common link here. Adyx
A quick update on this.. It appears as though it could just be bad timing.. :?: i.e) if someone is purchasing at the time you are doing some work in admin, it looks like it might mess up the ordering on occassions. It's the only thing that looks like a close match to the problem at the moment, as far as i can tell :?
scottk
I was haveing this same problem with a client. Everything 5 to 10 days they would have a couple customers missing their shipping info and credit card info. I changed the sessions to be stored in the database and so far we haven't missed any of the information.
