possword protect catagory

I'm a newbie to osCommerce, and was wondering...is it possible to password protect a category, so that only a specified user can access it?

 

I'm setting up a photography store where the "category" will be the client's name, and I'll post all the client's photos (products), that were taken during the photo shoot, under that category, so that they can choose the ones they want printed. I only want that client to be able to access these photos, so I need to secure it so that no other visitors to the store can see this client's photos. There, of course, will be multiple categories, as each client will need their own private category.

 

Additionally, is there a way to apply product attributes to all products under a category in one swipe, rather than applying it to each individual product? In the scenario above, there could be several hundred photos in a client's category, and rather than applying a size option for each photo, it would be nice if I could apply it globally, to all the photos under that category, in one step.

ok....I found an addon that will apply mass attributes, if I can just get it to work (end up with a zillion "headers already sent errors" every time I modify the files as directed in the installation document.

 

Still looking for a way to password protect a category though.
