I find the present search criteria pretty useless for how I might usually want to search for something. Most often, if I want to find something, I'm going to know the model # of what I'm after, but the search doesn't seem to key on that field. I've looked at the admin/categories.php where I believe the function operates from, and I've found references to "search" in that file everywhere between lines (in my copy) 666 and 782. My meager coding skills leave me bereft of any confidence that I could change the proper portions of that code so that I could search the Admin>Catalog>Categories/Products by model number. Any input as to a solution would be greatly appreciated. :) ... if you want to REALLY see something that doesn't set up right out of the box without some tweaking, try being a Foster Parent!
