Padholdr
I have a oscommerce template 33157 that I'm working with. I deleted many of the products from the template and added my own products. How do I add my new products to the banner? When I delete the template products from my site, the banner doesn't automatically replace them with my new products. Here is my website www.tablet-holder.com Thanks in advance
Guest
Jim, The Banners SHOULD be controlled from admin>>tools>>banner manager. If you don't see your banners listed there then the template creator hard coded them and you will have to find the hard code and replace the image filenames and/or product links. Padholdr
Thanks for the response. I can change the main banner but not the lower rotating products.
Guest
Jim, Unfortunately, you purchased a poorly coded website. You will need to locate the code and make manual edits to replace / re-link those banners. Chris
Padholdr
That's what i was thinking. I'm going to have to look for that code which will probably be a pain. I should be able to find and change the code in dreamweaver right?
Guest
Jim, I would NEVER suggest using Dreamweaver with oscommerce. Instead, you should use a text editor such as Notepad++ or Editplus+. Chris
Padholdr
I'm a mac guy.. I downloaded textmate and was totally lost where to start... I guess I'm going to have to keep reading up on how to use it. Thanks though chris.
