provido
Recently, my oscommerce-2.2rc2a store started to display the message stack warning that the includes/config file was writable. However, the file is/was set to 0644 permissions and nothing had been changed in the file. Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone know the cause/fix? Thanks. Guest
Wendall, The TWO configure.php files should be 444. If permissions have changed recently without you doing it, I would check for hacker activity on the server. Chris
provido
Thanks for the reply Chris. The permissions had not been changed and there seems to be no sign of hacker activity. I did set the permissions to 444 as suggested, though. Wendall
germ
The same thing happened to the site I manage when they upgraded PHP versions. On the old version 644 was acceptable to osC. After the upgrade I had to go to 444. Go figure.... If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
