PupStar
So what is the best way to upload this from your computer to the server? You need to get yourseld some FTP software. I personally use FileZilla but there are others such as WSFTP, SmartFTP etc etc Find one you like, enter your server connection details and then away you go. Heat33
hmm. I uploaded and changed the configure files in includes and admin/includes files to match my uploaded database and its all gone a little weird. The admin goes to the localhost address on my xammp for some reason
Guest
Don, If admin is still looking for localhost (127.0.0.0) then you haven't configured both of the configure.php correctly. Chris
germ
In the includes FOLDER (catalog and admin) where the normal configure.php files are there is a FOLDER named local On some installs there may be a configure.php inside the local FOLDER (catalog and admin) If there is, anything in it overrides anything in the normal configure.php files. If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
