nislav
Ok I happened to stumble across osCommerce by ordering from www.youronlinestore.net and I could not be more lost. It says I can open my own store using this site....how do I do it? I guess i need a domain, a web page, a drop shipper, merchant stuff. Someone please, please help me. I am so hopelessly lost. Please e-mail me a reply @ [email protected] I literally am on the verge of a nervous breakdown

Guest
Nicholas, You should check with the store provider for more details. Chris
Hotclutch
The store files are available for download freely from this site. Click on Add-Ons at the top of the page and then solutions. You will have to ask your hosting provider for help with the other things.
MrPhil
I literally am on the verge of a nervous breakdown Sigh. Get a grip on yourself, dude. Take a deep breath. What is it that you want to do? Presumably you have an idea to sell certain stuff online. Yes, osCommerce can let you do that. It's up to you to line up the products and suppliers. You have to arrange shipping method(s) that are supported by osC (either out of the box or by downloaded add-ons), and may have to set up accounts with shippers. Drop shipping is possible. You have to arrange payment method(s) that are supported by osC (again, out of the box or downloaded) and will usually need to set up accounts. Of course you need a domain and hosting provider for your site. Depending on what you want to sell, where your customers are, how you will be paid, and who will handle the shipping, you may want to consider some sort of affiliate program or storefront where you pay someone else to handle most of this stuff for you (if you don't care to do it yourself). Or, are you just shilling for some outfit at yourownonlinestore.net that is doing exactly that, and your post is spam?
