Hi all!

New member here.

I am looking at using oscommerce as my online shop. The BIG question as I see it is payment processing and I have done some research.

It seems to me that the biggest problem for a small startup wanting to process credit card payments is getting a merchant account with a bank, which you do need to take on-line credit card payments.

I found a company called 'Worldpay'...backed by the Bank of Scotland...which provides all the necessary end to end payment solutions without you having to get a merchant account at a bank, which are hard for a small start-up to get.

My question is.....does anyone here know if oscommerce can be integrated with Worldpay??? Has anyone used this?

I am asking this forum because it is hard to find any reference to oscommerce on their site...they do mention paypal though but paypal puts be off because new customers have to go through a signup process and I think this would put a lot of potential customers off.

Cheers.

They won't take just anybody though. While they don't need you to already have a bank merchant account, their background checks are every bit as thorough as any bank checks. When I applied they asked for the company's DUNS number (D&B are a credit reference agency).

However once the account is setup, the osCommerce module works fine. I've never had a problem (www.orlogix.com has been up and running since last July) and their back end administration site is far better than the last company I used (Saferpay).
