Fire Up Supplements
We are a new online business and now a regular to this site with many questions! Can I set different rates of shipping for different regions? We are located in Australia and want to have different rates for different areas, for example, Sydney Metro, Sydney Regional, QLD, SA, VIC etc. We would not be able to enter postcodes (zipcodes) to distinguish these areas though. At present we just have a flat delivery rate for all areas throughout Australia because our web developer said that you can't set shipping up based on regions/areas in osCommerce. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. kind regards Fire Up
Guest
Larissa, You should consider this contribution to help with zone shipping. http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/696 Chris
Guest
Hi Chris I am also doing business in Australia and been looking for a module that will allow me to use Australia Post. I downloaded the Australia Post Module you suggested to Larrisa and installed the auspost.php into catalog/includes/modules/shipping, but then got the following error. I am using OsCommerce v2.2 RC2 Warning: include(/home/mg13cs12/public_html/pole-positions.com/catalog/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/auspost.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mg13cs12/public_html/pole-positions.com/catalog/admin/modules.php on line 128 Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening '/home/mg13cs12/public_html/pole-positions.com/catalog/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/auspost.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/mg13cs12/public_html/pole-positions.com/catalog/admin/modules.php on line 128 Can you tell me what my problem may be. Guest
Carlene, Ensure you have uploaded the files that came with the contribution. That will correct the error. Chris
Guest
Hi Chris I have installed the file as per intsructions: "This mod takes Steve's auspost module and adds the ability to present shipping costs based on either Country Code (e.g. for export) or zone id (e.g. for internal shipping) using a single module. BACKUP FIRST BACKUP FIRST BACKUP FIRST BACKUP FIRST BACKUP FIRST BACKUP FIRST BACKUP FIRST Just replace, auspost.php in catalog/includes/modules/shipping Note that all the zones and country codes are hard coded but the tariffs can be updated from Admin." I am still getting the same errors as before: Warning: include(/home/mg13cs12/public_html/pole-positions.com/catalog/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/auspost.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mg13cs12/public_html/pole-positions.com/catalog/admin/modules.php on line 128 Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening '/home/mg13cs12/public_html/pole-positions.com/catalog/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/auspost.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/mg13cs12/public_html/pole-positions.com/catalog/admin/modules.php on line 128 I've notice in the instructions of this addon it says " Just replace, auspost.php in catalog/includes/modules/shipping so I'm wondering if there may have been an earlir version of this add on, that I should instal 1st which may have other files or some instruction to change some txt ect, that will correct this error.
