lost admin password - can I use PhpMyAdmin somehow?

I have lost the admin password for my local machine copy. I can access the database field with PhpMyAdmin but lack the knowledge to change it. My efforts all fail.

Any suggestions? I assume it has to be 'hashed' somehow, but that's over my head.

If you think you can help point me in the right direction, Please Email me

Thanks

Don,

Use phpmyadmin to truncate the administrators table. Then, log into the store admin area and create a NEW administrator. Then, sign in using that newly created username and password.

I am new to OS I just signed up last night. I tried to login into my admin once I had everything set up and I can't login, it says invalid password and it will not let me in. I don't know what to do but I am stuck until I can figure out how to get into my admin....can anyone help me?

Cindy,

As stated in my previous post, log into your hosting account, select phpmyadmin and open your osCommerce database. Locate the administrators table and truncate (empty) it. Then, log into your admin account and create a new administrator and log in with the new account.
