Help with install -- "cannot set time limit in safe mod

Hi,

I just downloaded osCommerce and I'm trying to set up a test shop so I can learn it. However, during the install process on the database import step I'm getting an error.

Step 1: Database Import

Warning: Cannot set time limit in safe mode in /home/virtual/site147/fst/var/www/html/catalog/install/includes/functions/general.php on line 47

The following error has occurred:

SQL file does not exist: /home/ketronsales/mainwebsite_html/catalog/install/oscommerce.sql

I don't know how to fix this because "oscommerce.sql" is indeed in the directory, although the error message claims it isn't. Also, in the huge long path to "general.php", it seems like it's using it's default values there instead of the actual values, which from what I know should be "/home/ketronsales/mainwebsite_html/catalog/install/includes/functions/general.php". I put the correct path values in during the first step of installation and I still get the long path.

Thanks in advance if you have any help :D

I found something on page 357 of this forum that fixed the database not found error, but now I'm getting an error at the end when I click on the "Administration Tool" button:

1046 - No Database Selected

select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from configuration

[TEP STOP]

I'm also getting this in step 5:

Warning: fopen("/home/virtual/site147/fst/var/www/html/catalog/adminincludes/configure.php","w") - No such file or directory in /home/virtual/site147/fst/var/www/html/catalog/install/templates/pages/install_5.php on line 164

Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid File-Handle resource in /home/virtual/site147/fst/var/www/html/catalog/install/templates/pages/install_5.php on line 165

Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid File-Handle resource in /home/virtual/site147/fst/var/www/html/catalog/install/templates/pages/install_5.php on line 166

The configuration was successful!
