404.shtml error on my server?

Hi all, I had a 500 error lat night and through the investigation found to be getting hundreds of these errors.

 

File does not exist: /home/rcshop/public_html/404.shtml, referer: http://mydomain.com/adminXXX/mindsparx_admin/template/sparx/stylesheet.css

 

I guess this is the root of the problem, not even sure where to start.

Check that your .htaccess file in the catalog root is properly configured.

I copied the fancybox folder from the /ext/jquery folder to the root.

 

I tried to find the source of the problem in the code but was unable to.

The weird thing is that i havent installed fancybox and im getting that error...

I was getting that error on my WAMP server, but not on my online test area, and I used the same files to install!!!

I am getting this error too and it's only for people browsing the site using windows and Explorer.

 

Why are they looking for fancybox at site root and not in /catalog/ext/jquery/fancybox when other browsers are not having this issue?

This is because the Fancybox CSS file contains path errors.

 

Open:

 

/ext/jquery/fancybox/jquery.fancybox-1.3.4.css

 

Under the entries for IE6, IE7 and IE8 change all the image links to have the correct path, e.g.

 

Change:

 

.fancybox-ie #fancybox-bg-n { filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(src='fancybox/fancy_shadow_n.png', sizingMethod='scale'); }

 

to:

 

.fancybox-ie #fancybox-bg-n { filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(src='/ext/jquery/fancybox/fancy_shadow_n.png', sizingMethod='scale'); }

 

That should cure it.
