2j
I've been working on the layout now for a while? I've changed the colour of the bars/ backrounds of infoboxes changed arrows, buttons, logo. I really like the fact that the boxes, have round corners, and wanted to keep that look. How am I supposed to know what has constitued a sufficient change in designto warrant me removing the Oscommerce Copyright? Any help would be appreciated. :? mugitty
I would guess common sense in determining that your finished product isn't obviously osC "out of the box"... but why wouldn't you be willing to leave a simple text line at the bottom of your page to give credit to an outstanding piece of software and afford others who might not know about it the chance to reap its benefits as you have? ... if you want to REALLY see something that doesn't set up right out of the box without some tweaking, try being a Foster Parent! Thanks. Actually you're quite right, one should be willing to leave it there for that purpose. Do you think it would be okay to leave say: powered by oscommerce and design company? mugitty
I defer to The Team members for a definitive answer, but I would think that would be fine... and you could make the "osCommerce" and "Design Company" active links, opening in a new window. :) ... if you want to REALLY see something that doesn't set up right out of the box without some tweaking, try being a Foster Parent! mattice
The stylesheet / layout design is copyrighted. Significant changes include stylesheet color changes and graphic (not just the logo) changes. So if you have changed most of your colors and added new images you are perfectly okay to remove the copyright. We do however appreciate the link back to us. It is a small gesture for a great program IMHO. The combination copyright is fine BTW Mattice "Politics is the art of preventing people from taking part in affairs which properly concern them"
Guest
I modified my footer text to this: Copyright ? 2001 - 2003Moogrets Powered by osCommerce Then I also created banner ads that say Moogrets powered by OSCommerce and Moogrets Forums powered by PHPbb. Check them out at http://www.moogrets.com Hopefully this is sufficient and will also get this great software some recognition.
