Hello,

 

I have just uploaded thousands of products to my oscommerce website through easy populate. After I added them, I realized that I have messed up 1 small sentence in the description (it exists in every description of every product I uploaded). So, to go about fixing this, I understand that I can export all the products I uploaded, fix the problem, then re-upload them. Although, many times I have re-uploaded products there have been little problems I have encountered. Whenever I upload products, I am required to have somebody check over each product and make sure it is all correct.

 

So, I was wondering, is there any completely safe way to find-and-replace the typo in the descriptions of each product that I uploaded to the website without any change for error?

sure, you can do that by exporting only the product model + description in EP.

you get a csv file.

 

Then you open it in Excel and use the search/replace function to the first description row and apply that to all the other descriptions.

then you re-upload and choose "update only" in EP :)
