fleeced
I see lots of ecommerce sites looking clean and crisp just like the new version of OSC v3, OSC 2.3.1 looks a little basic and dated. Can this be acheived by just creating a good, solid HTML page using STS template contribution or would I need a major overhaul of the standard CSS file that comes with OSC 2.3.1? Would be great to have a page that looks as clean and professional as the one below http://www.johnlewis.com/231204425/Product.aspx
NodsDorf
I'm not sure on latest release of oscommerce but STS does allow for a huge amount of customization. Here is 1 live site I built using STS: http://www.rubberstore.com/catalog/orings-c-33.html The site you linked appears to have a huge inventory and many additional pages which would take a lot of time to build. However the designs / flow / layout can be done with Oscommerce. You could take a look at some of the "Template" sites that sell templates to get an idea what can be done with Oscommerce. The site you linked however is a Active Server Protocol (.asp) site which would have been done with another cart system, since Oscommerce is Unix based.
