Hi,

I need to make a popup window for the default.php page only so a customer can fill in their name and email, click send and the email to go to the store owner....a monthly contest thing.

Is there a contribution that will do this?

Remember that Goodie Bag I made a long time ago?

There is a popup window in there that can be added anywhere.

You could then use contact_us.php and copy it to contest.php and take out the comments part. Copy the language file too.

Then the popup would call the contest.php ... they fill out the info and the magic occures. :D

Linda,

I really just want a popup.

I tried to just put the popup files in the header, english.php but it's not working.

Do you have instructions for just the popup?

I went to your sample page for the popup:

http://www.webmakers.com/catalog

and didn't see a popup.

Thanks!

Linda,

I used just a regular java popup page like contest.html. It has a form on it.

I put the java code in the default.php page which is fine except that if someone clicks on a product they are still on the default page so they get the popup window again...same thing when they are finished ordering.

Example is here:

If you have a better idea please let me know. I was thinking about the login page to change it to.

I would like to see the goodies bag in separate contributions as it is a little overwhelming...for me anyway.

Deborah,

I don't know. I didn't install the goodie bag.

After I figured out that you had to click on a link like Linda's site to make it pop up it wasn't what my client wanted.

I just went to one of those java sites and got a simple one that is working now.

So the goodie bag works with MS1?

Some of it ...

The Goodie Bag is very, very old.

I would have to look and see what all I put in there to know if there are any conflicts.

Mainly it contained simple but helpful things to do to a site when originally setting it up so things looked nice, had a few extra features.

Not major code changes, but enough to want to review them before just throwing them on a new snapshot.

Unfortunately, while java is handy, I do not usually include java things as I don't know what the customer allows on their computer and ... well, java and me are not the best of friends yet ... :D
