jbiquez
Hello all. I was wondering if you can share your comments about WHY you use OSC instead of other solutions? I know that OSC has a great history and was one of the first and because of that lot of people tried and did hacked sites. IN my case that was true 2 years ago, my entire dedicated server was hacked after they hacked the OSC configuration I had. In all this time I was involved in other things and I when I decided to open a store again I was pointed to lot of "new" options. Some of them. - Cubecart (not free) - Zen Cart. - Presta-Shop. - Of course LOT others. I spended a week or so playing with Zen Cart and PrestaSHop and after days I decided to try again OSC. Can you share your exoeriences with other solutions (open source if possible) and why at the end you still decided to use OSC? Thanks in advance JB
♥toyicebear
Have tested most of the major shopping cart software versions and there are many good ones to choose from. Which one to choose depends on many factors and for some even "personal preferences" when it comes to things like admin interface can be the deciding factor. I usually end up back using OSC in most cases simply due to that it has a solid basic core to start out from and you can then expand it almost "indefinitely". But have also used some of the other shopping cart solutions on projects based on specific criteria where another cart is more suited or clients preferences falls elsewhere. Guest
If you are willing to work with it, osC can do anything. In a class I teach my coined phrase is, "if you want to make osC quack like a duck, you can make it quack like a duck". There is endless possibility.
