jeffs763
After searching documentation, forums, and a book, for a few days I'm still confused by the plethora of choices. I come from a big iron and MS background, with SQL databases, IIS, Dreamweaver, and Frontpage. I do not know this platform, but I'm trying. How do I best organize products to achieve quickest selection and checkout? Is there a good document to explain. There are many, many contribs, and it seems that attributes could be useful. I don't want to customize something and have it fail when updates are applied. Product list is miniscule and will remain so, proper normalization is NOT required. Could be 0 categories, need to have sizes, need different prices for CA and elsewhere. Do not want to use surcharge or call attention that CA prices are much higher due to sin tax (tobacco). Like to have product, description, drop-down or similar for size and price, plus a quantity field. Want user to be able to select all for purchase at once without a lot of shopping cart trips. Least click order process desired. Site owner feels that # of clicks is overwhelming and is the reason she is not getting business. PS. Version provided by ISP is 2.2 RC 2 - I think, Admin Server Info link fails 503 error. tyvm, js :)
