simon1663 Posted March 12, 2003 Share Posted March 12, 2003 Hi All, I just made a romantic bookstore using oscommerce 2.2 ms1. It was absolutely fantastic ! Everything was possible and achievable. All thanks to the oscommerce developers and this wonderful community of users+ contributors. Anyway, just a little hickup, in the admin side - when you have a lot of products in one category, they are all shown rather than splitting the result into multiple pages. For example, in manufcaturer (admin side) when there is more than 20 manufacturer, results are splitted into multiple pages. This functionality has been used in several other section. But it is not present in the Categories and products section. When go into a category, 2.2ms1 shows you all products regardless of how many there are. Now, my client has over 3000 products on just one single category! This page takes for ever to load (on remote connection)! Even worse, she is on a 56K modem (some 1600kms away) connection so she has to wait more than 20 munites to load sometimes for that category. Obviously not acceptable. I know I can apply the splitResult function and classes to categories.php as well but there will be quite lot of work. So, if anyone has already done anything on it - please let me know.
