Problems with email DNS verifcation

I have some problems with email DNS verification enabled

(for purpose of checking customer email when a new account is created)

 

In this case catalog/includes/functions/validation.php

executes a call to function checkdnsrr().

 

However that function is NOWHERE defined in my OSC version

(snapshot 20030120), I searched all files.

Consequently the new account registration is aborted with a fatal

error message that checkdnsrr() function is undefined.

 

Anyone got any idea, where this function is supposed to

be defined, am I missing a file? Is this a bug?

Has anyone got DNS verifcation enabled and working?
