glenda
Hello, I'd like my customers to be able to shop my store by Brand, Style, or Price, etc... This store which I found in the Live Shops showcase does this: http://www.electricgeneratorsdirect.com/ca...log/default.php Is there a contribution that allows this or something? Or is it an option that I'm not seeing in the Admin? Thanks ! PS: I apologize if this question has been asked before, but I did search the forums for quite a while before posting it. Guest
The way that one set up is very easy! Your top categories are: Brand, Style, Price, etc. Under those are your sub categories, under brands are BrandX, BrandY, and BrandZ. Under Price is $1.99 -3.99, $4.00 - 7.99 etc. Under your sub categories are your products. The products can be in more than one sub category by copying or linking it to other sub categories. Guest
If you want to take advantage of OSCommerce's built in sorting options, you could always redo the language for Manufacturer so that it reads "Brand". You could also probably make a link very easily that sorts a category by price automatically. As a hint, just click on the "Price" column header to re-sort the products. glenda
I didn't see the "copy to" button in the admin. That's a really amazing feature. I thought for sure if I made a change to an item that I would have to manually update it in every "Shop By" category. But to my suprise, osC handles it for you! That's really impressive. Great idea Wayne, I'll use that! Mary
Guest
I didn't see the "copy to" button in the admin. The "copy to" button is in the admin at the product level.
