Change tax calculation from exclusive to inclusive

Hi folks,

I've looked around as best I can but couldn't find a thread which seems to indicate how best to do this.

My client is a UK based business that is VAT registered, thus has to charge 20% VAT to EU customers.

They want to sell all products at the same price point globally and have osC calculate the tax included where applicable.

At present I have display prices including tax = true and an EU tax zone created which has a value of 20%, this means that for EU customers they have a £15 product, £12.50 net price and £2.50 VAT.

However customers outside the EU only have the net price of £12.50 presented.

Is it possible to set osC to display the Gross price to all customers, and then only apply tax when the customer is in an applicable zone?

Cheers for any help if you can!

I made different zones and showed tax included, and when ppl from outside EU shopped it was tax excluded, but to see they have to log in (create an account where their country is outside EU). Different tax zones (geo zones).

The problem is that they have to create an account before they see the correct price.

That is what I have set up right now, but my client wants to charge the same price regardless of the customer's location and only calculate VAT included for EU Customers.

Does anyone know what functions within osCommerce I should look at to adjust this?
