Free shipping - remove shipping options

Recommended Posts

I have set up free over a set price shipping. Which works lovely.

But some customers get confused because they still have too choose a shipping mehtod when their order already qualifies for free shipping. So people think even though it said on the product that they will get free shipping that they are going to have to pay the shippping.

Does anyone know how to swap the shipping options to Free shipping (or disable it or something) so customers don't get confused.

We have a query a day about this.

Any ideas?

Thanks Steve

I was a bit daunted to install it as I only need such a small part of it.

Can i just use Linda's mods on the shipping file to do what I want to do.

Maybe i should ask her?

I'm not sure, maybe Linda will see your post and answer that question for you. But, I like to install all of the contrib files and changes, so I don't run into any later problem for missed changes. I've allready done that once and it drove me crazy. Don't worry Linda's contribs are easy to install. She has very good instructions. (stroke, stroke) :D

Unfortunately, the Free Shipping and Payment Add-on does not work in conjunction with the Free Shipping for $total >= $XX

I will have to look into what can be modified here to make that happen.

This is designed for orders that have $0 total or 0 weight to trigger the Free Shipping and Free Payment modules and hide the other modules.

I have been playing with an simple if statement for cart total on the checkout_shipping.php page.

It half worked it showed what i wanted it to show 'Free shipping', but then you can click the continue button for some reason.

I think i need to provide the information it needs from what would be selcted by the radio buttons, but hidden behind my free shipping statement.

What do you think?
