Newbie: Adding Images To Customize Site

MixRacing

Recommended Posts

I'd like to add images rather than just text on the right and left menu's (categories, what's new, etc.). How do I do this? I'd also like to add background images to those menu's also. Also, if I wanted to change how the text on the menus, how do I do that? I'd like to get rid of the numbers in (). Thanks to everyone in advance, this board really is helpful.

there are some contributions in the Features section and Infobox sections in the downloads area that you can use and modify to suit your needs

you can also just insert some html into the left and right column files to add images - just remember that you must link to the images correctly as to not create problems when you go from HTTP to HTTPS - there are multiple threads in the forum about that issue

First question above. You change the stylesheet.css to change text and colors.

Second Question. That setting is in admin. Configuration->show catagory counts.

That worked nice. I just can't find that setting (show category count) in the admin menu. Any idea what it is really called? Also, I found that code to display a background image. Where should I place that in the code? Like, after what lines...? Thanks.
