should I upgrade from TEP2.1?

Hi again. I've been looking around trying to figure out what's involved with upgrading to a newer version of OSC. As far as I can tell, the version I have, The Exchange Project Preview Release 2.1, is very outdated. The copyright is 2001. I have been noticing that a common idea is that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." My store isn't live yet, and I haven't even really begun testing in full force, so I don't know if it's broken. :) I'm mostly curious if it would be very much worth my while to upgrade to the newest milestone, or even snapshot. Also, if I did so, how much of the customization I have done will be lost? Thanks in advance for your advice.

Thanks for the response.

I'll lose everything, right?

No, the installation module is also able to upgrade 2.1 databases for the 2.2(CVS) standard.

Try it out on a backup of your database, and decide for yourself if you want to update to 2.2(CVS) or not :)

Right now I'm only concerned with the changes I've made to the files...my main question is will I have to re-customize everything. :)

Yes probably. But it should be fairly easy with something like Beyond Compare or any other DIFF program. There are several but BC is the most popular (there's a free trial version at scootersoftware.com I think)
