jonathan hayton
Hi I have recently installed a version of os 2.3.1 once I logged into the admin area I found the following message. I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/meredrea/public_html/shop/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. I currently have the permission on the configure.php file set to 600 but the message is still there, what should the permissions be?

jonathan hayton
Thanks Nic Could you also tell me whether the Article 'Securing your oscommerce 2.2 site' is also relevent for 2.3 installations, or have alot of the security issues been fixed? FIMBLE
Hi Jon Yes a lot of what is there is still relevant. Security Pro has another release for 2.3 IP Trap has been updated Site monitor has also been updated A lot of the known issues have been fixed with 2.3 however this still leaves your site open to attacks that can be prevented by the addition of the add ons.
