griffin
Has anyone else had this problem? How do we fix it? If there's not a fix available right now, can we load the module from the previous version and make it work? Dee I got grey hair with osCommerce. griffin
I uploaded the who's on line from 2.2 and it didn't help. Any suggestions? Dee I got grey hair with osCommerce.
Mr. Ree
Unless someone is logged on they will show as a Guest. To be sure that this is the problem, log yourself into your store, look at Who's Online and see if your IP lists you as Guest or by your name as it should. griffin
Hi, I thought that to until I watched a person shop. I thought they were just playing with the cart. After the order came thru and it was a regular customer I signed on and it wouldn't show me as being on. It showed me as a guest as well. When I searched the board I found one other person with the same problem but I haven't found any suggestions on how to fix it. Thanks Dee I got grey hair with osCommerce. Mr. Ree
Hmm.. Got me. You are doing a refresh of the page "Who's Online" page right? Otherwise it will still show as guest. Good luck. griffin
Hi, Yes I am refreshing the page. I have another site using 2.2 and it works fine there. I bet more people have this problem and just haven't noticed it. I didn't for a while. Dee I got grey hair with osCommerce.
Ajeh
Change line 16 of /includes/functions/whois_online.php if (tep_session_is_registered('customer_id')) { The $ on there and missing quotes appear to be the problem.

Floob
I presume this kind of thing is logged and fixed in MS2.

Floob
No, I mean, will it be logged officially and fixed in future versions. I have MS1 and the bug is in there. Which I have now fixed thanks to you. :)
Ajeh
Looking at the updates to the whois_online.php it was fixed on February 21st, if I am not mistaken.
Floob
Ok, so it is fixed in the daily updates but not MS1 - as that pre-dates 22nd Feb. So I guess that means it will be fine in MS2.
ashlyn
I'm using a snapshot version and the date in my whois_online.php file is November 22, 2002. I'm still getting the guest instead of user and there is also an ID column which is all showing as 0 I tried what was suggested above but that line is not in this file. Any ideas much appreciated.. Thanks ------------------------------------------------------- I used to be insane, but now I'm just nuts ;)
