Guest
Can someone tell me how to add a URL to a Banner, I am very new to this. This is my 1st attempt at launching a oscommerse site. I have 3 banners on the index page of my oscommerce site, when I click on them they go to a broken link, I would like to put a URL that goes to a active page on my site. Presently this is the URL for Banner 2 on my site: http://www.pole-positions.com/catalog/redirect.php?action=banner&goto=2 , but it comes up with a hostgator page which has an ERROR 404 - PAGE NOT FOUND , need the URL to be : http://www.pole-positions.com/catalog/index.php?manufacturers_id=1 Any assistance would be appreciated. Guest
Go to your admin>tools>banner manager, select the banner you want, click edit, and enter the url in the filed that say to enter a url Thank you for your help, I have tried this method, but it dosnt seem to work. I have entered http://www.pole-positions.com/catalog/index.php?manufacturers_id=1 as the URL and saved it. Refreshed page but stil when you click on the banner it takes me to the following URL : http://www.pole-positions.com/catalog/redirect.php?action=banner&goto=2 which has the Hostgator ERROR 404 Page Not Found message. This is happening on all 3 of my banners. I just cant find a way to fix this problem. Am considering re uploading my Index Page, do you think this could help. Guest
Well this problem has been doing my head in all day, so I decided to get onto Hostgator Live Chat and see if they can help. It seems that Hostgator Security removed my redirect.php it was removed for the protection of my account as my website was hacked into. So my question now is, can someone tell me how I can put the redirect.php page back in my website. The answer is most probably obvious but my brain is tired..
