Guest
I just downloaded the contribution entitled "USPS Shipping Methods 2.4". I unzipped it and came up with a file called "USPSMethods_2.4.tar(1)" It has a very pretty windows icon on it, but other than making my desktop look nice, I don't know what to do with it. There is no documentation with this contribution, so I do not know what to do with the file! It is simply sitting on my desktop. Do any of you know what I'm supposed to do with this file? Double-clicking it opens the "open with" window, so that can't be it.
Guest
sounds like you dl'd it a couple of times - you should be able to unstuff (mac) or unzip (windows) it with whatever app you use based on your OS - once unstuffed/unzipped you will see the read me file and files to install
Guest
I downloaded it and unzipped it. But there is only one unzipped file (USPSMethods_2.4.tar[1]), and I don't know what to do with it! There is no read me.
Guest
well then i would either download it again (perhaps it was corrupted in the dl), or you need to untar the file
Guest
That did it. It turns out it is GZIP and TAR. Therefore, you need to unzip it twice (with two separate programs for me  ) before you can use it.

gotflag
Sounds like you used winzip. I have this problem all the time. goto desktop and rename file from something.tar[1] to something.tar Then re open the file and it will give you all the little files.
