brock
Actually Dick is partially correct & partially wrong. .htaccess doesn't work correctly on Windows if you are using an IIS server, but as long as you are using Apache on Windows, it will work just fine. Check out the following link... http://forums.devshed.com/archive/15/2002/01/4/29687 The replies to the following post might also help you out... http://www.phpbuilder.com/mail/php-windows...001092/0182.php Hope that helps. -Brock

Theodorb
If you are running windows 2000 pro or XP pro, you use windows folder security to control access. Right click on the folder and remove those you do not want to have access like guest, or web guest. TY Theo Share your knowlege and you learn even more !
