Guest
Hi, I use 2Checkout for my payment processor in my OSCommerce cart. The only problem is that at the moment 2Checkout do not support GBP (? Sterling), but only USD ($ Dollars)... I primarily sell my products in Pounds (?) sterling, but need to use 2checkout's service for processing my orders... I know that OSCommerce has the currency converter, and at the moment, I am having to set my default currency as USD, when I really want prices to be displayed in GBP. Does anyone know a way I can have the ammount displayed (In OSCommerce) in GBP, but when the customer is transferred to the 2Checkout systems, the currency is converted to the GBP equilavent price in USD... Please help me! Cheers :D Al

I have tried searching on the terms '2checkout currencies' without any success. All I get is posts saying the answer is to be found with that search. Can someone help me out and post a link to the appropriate thread directly. Thanks.

Jeremy at oddly enough
I remember reading a thread a while ago that had code to let the customer go all the way through the site in their chosen currency, then finish the transaction in the default currency. That thread was about processing credit card orders. Jeremy
jestep
It seems all of us involved with more than one currency have the same problem. My proposed solution is in Suggestions and Proposals - under "Auto Conversion of Retail Price". I plan to have vendors from multiple countries and consequently I will be buying in currencies other than my default currency (dollars). I propose adding a 3 character currency code identical to what is presently used in the currency converter. When I buy in Euros, Pounds, Hong Kong Dollars, Canadian Dollars, Argentine Pesos, or US Dollars, we would simply enter the additional 3 character currency code. The program would look at the currency code field and if it is blank, know that we are entering the retail sales price in the default currency, but if it had a three character code, go to the matching conversion factor, make the multiplication, and display the retail price in the default currency. If the cost from the vendor could also be entered, then the order and shipping info information is passed on the the accounting system (Quickbooks Pro) with the exact price the client has agreed to pay and approximately what it is going to cost to purchase the product for the client (assuming normal fluctuations in the currency exchange market on a daily basis). To really make this work super, it would be great for the currency converter program to work automatically on a designated schedule (e.g. run every morning at 8AM). The result is a stable price regardless of the currency and all the retail prices in the same default currency. :) Joseph E. desiredin
Does anyone know if the problems with 2checkout are expected to be resolved? They've been down for days. Previously, they've been up and down like a yo-yo. I just signed up with them less than a week ago and am concerned that this is par for them. Thanks.
