Theodorb
I have a store in Quebec Canada, and I require some help with sales taxes, I have set up my sales tax as per the write up in the extras. Canada Gst 7% Priiority 1 Quebec Sales Tax 7.5% Priority 2 according to the write up this should compond the taxes but it is not it is still adding the taxes so I get Subtotal $100.00 Canada Gst 7% + Quebec PST 7.5% $14.50 Total $114.50 IT should be Subtotal $100.00 Canada GST 7% $7.00 Quebec PST $8.03 Total $115.03 Please help me TY Theo Share your knowlege and you learn even more ! Guest
Did you create 2 tax zone ? 1 call GST with country=canada and zone=all zones 1 call PST with country=canada and zone=quebec In your admin/module/order_total you should see your 2 tax separate so make sure in sort order that GST is just before PST HTH The_Bear

Guest
Just going by the numbers. you second tier tax is being charged on the subtotal including the first tier tax... So your Quebec tax is being charged on $107 instead of $100.
Harald Ponce de Leon
according to the write up this should compond the taxes but it is not it is still adding the taxes so I get Right, that's what it says but the logic never done this. This is in regard to how the rates are given priority (n vs <>n) Subtotal $100.00Canada Gst 7% + Quebec PST 7.5% $14.50 Total $114.50 IT should be Subtotal $100.00 Canada GST 7% $7.00 Quebec PST $8.03 Total $115.03 If that's the way it's meant to be, then the tax implementation needs to be looked at again. , osCommerce

I have some code I am testing, before I change it I need to check with an old bug report to make sure it does not break that bug fix... tom Thomas A. Theodorb
Tom: I made the change you suggested and it is alot closer but there is a rounding problem in the Tax, and a formating problem. Sub-Total: $100.00 Zone Rates (Shipping to CA : 13 lb(s)): $20.00 Canadian GST 7% + Quebec PST 7.5%: $15.02 Shipping GST 7%: $1.40 Total: $136.43 It should read like this Sub-Total: $100.00 Zone Rates (Shipping to CA : 13 lb(s)): $20.00 Canadian GST 7% $7.00 Quebec PST 7.5%: $8.03 Shipping GST 7%: $1.40 Total: $136.43 This split is required by law and must be presented this way for Quebec and Canadian stores, the taxes must be presented separately. You guys are great Thanks for the quick responce. TY Theo. Share your knowlege and you learn even more !
