Hey, Great addon. but some errors in the addon, 113 to be precise and that on the admin main page. Is there a version in the future that will be more "stable"? "PS: I don't have any other addons installed."

done validation through http://validator.w3.org/check#

Validation Output: 113 Errors

The sequence <FOO /> can be interpreted in at least two different ways, depending on the DOCTYPE of the document. For HTML 4.01 Strict, the '/' terminates the tag <FOO (with an implied '>'). However, since many browsers don't interpret it this way, even in the presence of an HTML 4.01 Strict DOCTYPE, it is best to avoid it completely in pure HTML documents and reserve its use solely for those written in XHTML.

The element named above was found in a context where it is not allowed. This could mean that you have incorrectly nested elements -- such as a "style" element in the "body" section instead of inside "head" -- or two elements that overlap (which is not allowed).

One common cause for this error is the use of XHTML syntax in HTML documents. Due to HTML's rules of implicitly closed elements, this error can create cascading effects. For instance, using XHTML's "self-closing" tags for "meta" and "link" in the "head" section of a HTML document may cause the parser to infer the end of the "head" section and the beginning of the "body" section (where "link" and "meta" are not allowed; hence the reported error).

<script language="javascript" src="includes/general.js"></script>

✉

The attribute given above is required for an element that you've used, but you have omitted it. For instance, in most HTML and XHTML document types the "type" attribute is required on the "script" element and the "alt" attribute is required for the "img" element.

Typical values for type are type="text/css" for <style> and type="text/javascript" for <script>.
Line 43, Column 7: end tag for element "HEAD" which is not open
</head>

✉

The Validator found an end tag for the above element, but that element is not currently open. This is often caused by a leftover end tag from an element that was removed during editing, or by an implicitly closed element (if you have an error related to an element being used where it is not allowed, this is almost certainly the case). In the latter case this error will disappear as soon as you fix the original problem.

If this error occurred in a script section of your document, you should probably read this FAQ entry.

You have used the attribute named above in your document, but the document type you are using does not support that attribute for this element. This error is often caused by incorrect use of the "Strict" document type with a document that uses frames (e.g. you must use the "Transitional" document type to get the "target" attribute), or by using vendor proprietary extensions such as "marginheight" (this is usually fixed by using CSS to achieve the desired effect instead).

This error may also result if the element itself is not supported in the document type you are using, as an undefined element will have no supported attributes; in this case, see the element-undefined error message for further information.

How to fix: check the spelling and case of the element and attribute, (Remember XHTML is all lower-case) and/or check that they are both allowed in the chosen document type, and/or use CSS instead of this attribute. If you received this error when using the <embed> element to incorporate flash media in a Web page, see the FAQ item on valid flash.

✉

An entity reference was found in the document, but there is no reference by that name defined. Often this is caused by misspelling the reference name, unencoded ampersands, or by leaving off the trailing semicolon (;). The most common cause of this error is unencoded ampersands in URLs as described by the WDG in "Ampersands in URLs".

Entity references start with an ampersand (&) and end with a semicolon (;). If you want to use a literal ampersand in your document you must encode it as "&" (even inside URLs!). Be careful to end entity references with a semicolon or your entity reference may get interpreted in connection with the following text. Also keep in mind that named entity references are case-sensitive; &Aelig; and æ are different characters.

If this error appears in some markup generated by PHP's session handling code, this article has explanations and solutions to your problem.

Note that in most documents, errors related to entity references will trigger up to 5 separate messages from the Validator. Usually these will all disappear when the original problem is fixed.

Hi Janne,

Mindsparx Admin rocks!

I agree its totally pointless to validate the code as it should be locked tight so no one including the search engines can see it.

Keep up the good work :thumbsup:

All those are understandable, due to the fact user create their own listings with html code. this page has code in where it doesn't belong.. Just thought I could help out.. Reason being it is a great cont. but some others don't display well with it? Maby it's my mistake, but installed coupon and easypopulate, but showing out of the screen, very weird. then there is some packages that shows fine and blend well.. Those errors might be the problem if it doesn't show on some browsers. But I like clean script that display well, loads fast, and no room for errors in the future. Will try and help clean it.

Iankil,

Great contrib. I use it on my live store (osc RC2.2a) but am upgrading my store to 2.3.1 as soon as I get enough of the contributions I'm currently using working in 2.3.1 (Like Wishlist).

I've installed this on my test site, and added

   include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'articles.php'); //ArticlesManager v1.57_6
   include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'header_tags_seo.php'); //Header Tags SEO v3.2.5
   include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'sitemonitor.php'); //Sitemonitor v2.8

into the header.php file just below

    include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'configuration.php');
   include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'catalog.php');
   include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'modules.php');
   include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'customers.php');
   include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'taxes.php');
   include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'localization.php');
   include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'reports.php');
   include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'tools.php');

Now, on my test site the header drop menu's appear as thus:

mindsparxheaderproblem0.jpg

Is there a way to make it when the header menu 'wraps' that the second line appears a bit lower? So that it appears more like this:

mindsparxheaderproblem0.jpg

A couple of things I picked up on last night - well firebug did :rolleyes:

In catalog/admin/includes/template_top.php

find:

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="includes/stylesheet.css">

replace with:

<!--<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="includes/stylesheet.css">-->

that is: comment the line out, this is because stylesheet.css no longer exists with this contribution in place, so should not be called

In catalog/admin/includes/header.php

find:

	<td>
		<img src="./mindsparx_admin/misc/qmenu/images/qNav3.gif" width="150" alt=""></td>
</tr>
<tr>
	<td height="3"><img src="images/qNav3.gif" width="150" height="3"></td>

replace with:

</tr>
<tr>
	<td height="3"><img src="./mindsparx_admin/misc/qmenu/images/qNav3.gif" width="150" height="3"></td>
</tr>

qNav3.gif is in ./mindsparx_admin/misc/qmenu/images/ - not images/

still working well though ;)

My store is currently running Phoenix 1.0.3.0

I'm currently working on 1.0.7.2 and hope to get it live before 1.0.8.0 arrives (maybe 🙄 )

I used to have a list of add-ons here but I've found that with the ones that supporters of Phoenix get any other add-ons are not really neccessary

I too am having trouble getting the admin to work. Starting with a clean install, I copied all the files into the admin section, uploaded them, installed the SQL, and voila! It broke.

When I enter the admin I get:

1146 - Table 'hailwood_oscom.TABLE_MINDSPARX' doesn't exist

select * from TABLE_MINDSPARX where id=1

[TEP STOP]

phpadmin reports:

Showing rows 0 - 0 (1 total, Query took 0.0010 sec)

SELECT *

FROM `mindsparx_admin`

LIMIT 0 , 30

Looks like the table prefix is not right, perhaps.

Any clues?

Ok, it's very late and I'm tired. I had assumed that with a fresh install I need only copy all the files across and bingo it's done. Noooo. The files to be edited are not supplied in the contrib, they need to be edited and uploaded. I'll leave this in place in case some other dummy does the same thing.

Quick Question...I had sitemonitor up and working prior to the mindsparx admin install.

After the install my sitemonitor disappeared...so I checked my column_left and sure enough it was not there

Now after adding it back into the column left it still will not show up. What am I doing wrong?

I have completely re-installed the add-on and nada

I am unable to get into my admin. I installed this update and everything worked fine until I logged out. All I get now is the log on screen. When I clear my cache and history I get the .htaccess password pop up enter my info and nothing happens.

Thanks

I am not sure if this is a minsparx admin issue or something else.

Dude this is rocking...minor issue with body column witdhs on the index page, but when I replaced the adm_pic.jpg with one of my own it got all magically corrected and all. Kind of awesome.

Easiest install, cudos to you.

One other minor issue...on the Index page when the CONFIGURATION menus drop down (Google Chrome) the TOTAL REVENUE graphs obscure part of the drop down menu. Not a real big issue...just thought I should let you know.
