jahwise Posted March 9, 2003 Share Posted March 9, 2003 Greetings, I am going to having some php programmers install this OS COMMERCE shopping cart on my site, and i need to speak with someone who is knowledgeable about the costs and types of add-ons that are available to me. 1. From start to finish what are the things i need to arrange and buy to get my shopping cart up and running on my site? greree Posted March 9, 2003 Share Posted March 9, 2003 1. You need to buy server space. That's pretty much it. You'll have to ask someone else about merchant accounts, gateways, and accounting. 2. There are hundreds of mods for free in the downloads section. Most of them are easily customizable. 3. Downloads is a built in function. I would recommend installing the contribution "Downloads Controller", also free. 4. Programmers will probably contact you privately when they read your message. 5. I installed osCommerce with more than a dozen mods. Total cost was zero. It depends on how much you're willing to do yourself.
