falconpilot Posted March 9, 2003 Share Posted March 9, 2003 Newbie here. Can someone please tell me how I can use Internet Explorer to view my site off-line. I want to be able to view my changes in html and php code before I actually upload changed files to my server but I can't figure out how to do it. Internet explore only wants to view html files but will not let me view a php file. When I try to view a php file IE just rolls over to wordpad and shows me the source code. Guest Posted March 9, 2003 Share Posted March 9, 2003 You must install Apache Web Server, PHP and mySQL onto your local machine... as well as a complete copy of your website and database... for a newbie I recommend EasyPHP if you are running Windows - this will install all the above except for your website and database tables and data, but does also include phpmyadmin which is very useful - you can find it here: http://www.easyphp.org Have fun!
