Special/Sale item options

Hi,

 

If my products (DVD) are anything to go by, suppliers put sale items on availabilty for a limited period (i.e. 01/02/2001 - 31/03/2003) and some items are multi-offers (i.e. 3 for the price of 2) so my suggestions are:

 

1. The abilty to set time/dates for Special/Sale items pricing (start/end.)

 

2. The ability to links products with multi-pricing and require the minimum number or multiples thereof (i.e. by ID number) for the special price.

 

3. Special items by stock availability - for where a store is selling old stock at a discount or where they have pre-purchased sale items so the end of the suppliers sale does not affect their sale until stock expires (i.e first 100 products (by ID) sold.)

 

4. Idealy the ability to merge the above options where needed (i.e. a multi-pricing for a set period.)

 

 

This would prevent double handling (set special offer & remove special offer) and obviously prevent special items being sold after the expiry of the offer date/stock (if database not updated on time.)
