Guest
hey, I just installed OsCommerce, and I've done a pretty good job with customizing it so far. But I do however have a few questions and I was hoping that someone with more experience could help me out. I don't want my store to look like everyone elses, so, I would like to change a lot of the html. Could someone please give me some advice or tips on changing the html? I know a lot about html but not really anyhting about php. What are the rules about putting html in php files? thank you in advance. Also, I specifically would like to change the html on the main page. I do like the box at the bottom, but I would like to put my own html on the main page. What would be best, is to be able to just someone do some kind of SSI to a seperate html file all together, for ease of changing. What file contains the code for that main page? and what lines is it? What line of code would I need to replace it with in order to do the include of the seperate html file? I know that this is a lot of questions, but I would really appritiate it if someone could help me. Who knows, maybe this will lead to me making a customization script for the store. Anyways, thanks again. -Jesse
Guest
Jesse, you could try downloading the Define Mainpage contribution. It will do exactly what you want to your home page. You can download it from here: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...tions,86/page,4 Regards Craig
