Canada Shipping Woes, &*($ing Newbies

Hi,

 

I'm losing my gourd. I would like to set-up shipping with OSC, have read through the forums, and have summised the following:

 

1) The shipper specific modules (i.e. FedEx/UPS) do not work

2) There are a lot of other (sigh) frustrated persons like myself trying to get shipping to work spot on.

 

Now I know I'm new at this (OSC), but I would like to get some clarity here. Here are my (hopefully) clear questions:

 

1) Do any of the "shipper specific" shipping modules from 2.1 work?

2) Do any of them work for Canada?

3) Does any one (perhaps from Canada) ahve the following shipping setup: By Weight, By Zone, Selecting Level of service

i.e. I have a 2.0kg (or lbs!) package to ship from Toronto to Boston, so the calc is 2.0kg x Zone(or km/miles) = $RATE.

 

I hope the above is clear. I think this community is fantastic, and I will announce to you all when I have this cleared up to receive your critique.

did you ever get an answer for this because I have the same pronbloem with ups modules for shipping ? do I need to contact ups for and account to get theird shipping rates ?

Why dont you install the canada post module ?

Thanks I'm looking at that one and will check out canada post to see what I need to do for the setup.

But if I want UPS too why am I haveing this zone problem ? Do I need to goto ups and setup something there to for it to work ?
