dservexs
Hi, Which file do I need to enter the Conditions of use applicable to my web store? Also for the Shipping & Returns and Privacy Note information. Regards, Barbara
Guest
Hi Barbara, Privacy Note: catalog/includes/language/"your language(s)"/privacy.php. Edit the line that says: define('TEXT_INFORMATION', 'Here's where you put your notice'); Make sure your entire section is between the single quotes, and voila Same goes for: Shipping: catalog/includes/language/"your language(s)"/shipping.php and Conditions of Use: catalog/includes/language/"your language(s)"/conditions.php Ciao! dservexs
Josh, I am unable to find the above paths that you mention. Is this in the menu of the Shop? Or is this the folder path you are referring to where my shop is installed? Through neither of them I am able to find the above paths. I do find the files, but these are in the root of the installed directory? Or have the paths changed in the new version? Regards, Barbara
mugitty
Assuming you are using english: catalog/includes/languages/english/privacy.php etc... catalog being where ever you have installed the public side of osC ... if you want to REALLY see something that doesn't set up right out of the box without some tweaking, try being a Foster Parent! crodserve
I'm having the same problem but are you saying you can only change the privacy etc...after you've downloaded the oscommerce to a live site? Christina Rodriguez
mugitty
I'm having the same problem but are you saying you can only change the privacy etc...after you've downloaded the oscommerce to a live site? If you're referring to this: Assuming you are using english: catalog/includes/languages/english/privacy.php etc... catalog being where ever you have installed the public side of osC It has nothing to do with "live" or not live. The "public side" simply refers to the directory that the public would see if the site was live - in other words, your catalog directory as opposed to your admin directory. ... if you want to REALLY see something that doesn't set up right out of the box without some tweaking, try being a Foster Parent!
