Binkmaster1973 Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 I have a fresh install of OSCRC2.2a I tried to install a theme pack and it killed it. I deleted the entire directory except for the configure.php file and reloaded virgin files. Now the website works and reads the database, yet going to the admin panel gives the following error: Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'mysql'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in /home/cerulean/public_html/qualitycleaningsupplies.com/catalog/admin/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! Where is it pulling that username and password from? The configure.php file is correct and the site loads - why not the admin page?
Binkmaster1973 Posted November 12, 2010 Author Posted November 12, 2010 ok, who would have guessed that there are TWO configure.php files with the same data. lame. Somehow I am missing a piece of information because when I try to go to www.qualitycleaningsupplies.com/catalog/admin, it redirects me to .com/admin and drops the fact it is in a folder called catalog.
♥kymation Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 The two configure.php files are not identical. If you have an unmodified store, the easiest recovery is to simply upload the files and run the install program again. Otherwise, you'll need to get a copy of the blank admin/includes/configure.php from the osCommerce distribution and fill in the defines with the proper values.
