Need help setting up gift certificates/vouchers as product attributes

My boss wants to start selling gift certificates on the site.

 

Basically, for a series of new products we are adding to the site, she wants to give the option of buying a gift certificate with those specific products.

 

For example:

 

One of the new products is a sampler perfume pack.

 

On that product page, there would also be a checkbox you could click if you wanted to also purchase a gift certificate (which would be redeemable on the site) with that product.

 

 

The problem is, I'm not sure how to set that up.

 

 

I added this gift certificates mod (http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5698/v,22) to the site, and it would work for making certificates available and allowing people to enter a special code to redeem their certificates.

 

The problem is, that mod requires you to list the gift certificates as individual products, but she wants to have it set up so you can only buy the certificates as an add-on with one of the new products. Otherwise, purchasing a gift certificate would be disabled.

 

 

Any ideas on how to set something like that up?

Try this contribution instead. when they purchase a product you can e-mail them a pre-set coupon and set it up in the admin section of the contribution.
