I backed up 1st. Then I done an edit on includes/languages/english/index.php.

I restored my backup. I tried to load my site and got this Fatal error: Call to a member function add_current_page() on a non-object in /home/moarkwp1/public_html/includes/application_top.php on line 312

Is there anyway I can get a copy of the default index.php?

Lon,

It is not an actual error. It is because you edited the file.

Delete the temp files and cookies in your browser and load the page again. You will come across this quite often as you edit your site.

i always thought it was due to a browser crash? This never happens when i edit a page Chris please can you explain in more detail?

I know ther was an issue a while back with the navigation coming from the application_top.php which caused this,

The problem has nothing to do with index.php. It is a well-known code bug in includes/application_top.php. Find

// navigation history
 if (tep_session_is_registered('navigation')) {
   if (PHP_VERSION < 4) {
     $broken_navigation = $navigation;
     $navigation = new navigationHistory;
     $navigation->unserialize($broken_navigation);
   }
 } else {
   tep_session_register('navigation');
   $navigation = new navigationHistory;
 }
 $navigation->add_current_page();

and change to

// navigation history
 if (!tep_session_is_registered('navigation') || !is_object($navigation)) {
   tep_session_register('navigation');
   $navigation = new navigationHistory;
 }
 $navigation->add_current_page();

Make a backup first, of course. This is the change made in osC 2.3, and note that this change no longer supports PHP 3. Don't use this change if you're still on PHP 3!
