MixRacing
I am very intrested in osCommerce. But without a online demo of the admin system, its hard for me to tell how customizable it is. I vistited many of the Live shops using OSC. And they look great, however, what does a custom site require? Is it all in CSS. Or can you edit many things through the Admin menu. I am very curios. If someone could explain this, I'd be very appreciative. Thanks in advance. -Seth
Guest
Its not theme based but you can easily change the look through css and a bit of html. As for features check out the contributions. I would also mention that in my short time using osCommerce I have become a great fan of this forum... people are very willing to help. In summary go for it... you won't regret it. paganini
Seth, I have used Mal's cart in the past and found it good but too restrictive. Agora was hmmmm and Interchange is just a pain in the rear. This is by far the best shopping cart I have used and in fact I am in the process of building, thanks to everyone in this forum, a fully customized cart with over 700 items. A bit of php knowledge is a good thing but if you have experience in html and other web languages I am sure you can get your head around this cart. The people and expertise in this forum are amazing and generally you will find everyone willing to give you a hand with any problems. Really, I can't speak highly enough of osCommerce, its programming staff and this forum. That doesn't mean it is perfect, nothing is, but overall I don't think you would be dissapointed if you chose to use it. Cheers Todd
