Removing the "->" after category name

I know it was here someplace because I used it when I installed my old store. I cannot find it now. How do I remove the "->" after the category? I have the counts turned off but I cannot find how to remove the symbols. Thank you!

on line 42 approx find

 

     $categories_string .= '->';

change it to

     $categories_string .= '->';
