musashi79uk Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Hi, I have successfully used the STS Template system on an existing site. I'm now trying to set up a new site using the same version of OsCommerce and the same database. Everything is going well apart from I keep getting some boxes on the page. I have tried changing various things in the CSS file to no avail. It's nothing to do with the html file from the sts system I don't think. I have attached a photo below. Also, I cannot change the permissions of the configure.php files. I have tried using FileZilla but for some reason it reverts back to the original permissions. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Carl
FIMBLE Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 hello you need the STS forum http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/forum/46-templates-and-images/ There are a few listed here depending on the version you have Nic Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions

I think it could relate to the stylesheet.css?
multimixer Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 It looks like there is a border set for a table or td, could be in the css or directly in index.php Do you have a url of this new store? My community profile | Template system for osCommerce - New: Responsive | Feedback channel

musashi79uk Posted November 9, 2010 Author Posted November 9, 2010 looks like fixed? You beat me! yes it is fixed. It turned out to be the pixel_trans.gif not being present in the images directory. Though the permissions issue still remains. I can change the permissions using 'file attributes' in livezilla but when I click OK, the site message remains the same and when I look at 'file attributes' in livezilla again, it has reverted back to the original.
multimixer Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 The best for permissions is you go directly to your cpanel and change them from there My community profile | Template system for osCommerce - New: Responsive | Feedback channel
musashi79uk Posted November 9, 2010 Author Posted November 9, 2010 The best for permissions is you go directly to your cpanel and change them from there The hosting is done by a company called easily.co.uk and their control panel is limited. It's not my website that I am working on so I wouldn't have gone with them. I can't set permissions with FileZilla or LeapFTP - both of which I have been able to in the past.
